Ardour is a series of stranger street portraits where Jovis shows her connection with the people she meets on the streets bringing out their character and personality.
Ardour was on exhibition at The London Photo Show at The Bargehouse Gallery on London’s Southbank from 11-14 November 2021.
52 Assignments Street Photography
This was a long term street photography project led and organised by Jovis which started in November 2020 till December 2021.
It is made up of a group of street photographers on a mission to complete the 52 Assignments Street Photography book by Brian Lloyd Duckett from November 2020 till December 2021.
This is a project focused street photography group and the material is drawn from the book.
At the end of the project, they published the best images into a book and held an exhibition during the summer of 2022 at The House of Photography, Fujifilm in Covent Garden, London.
Nanogenarians
"Nanogenarians" is a heartfelt photography project dedicated to capturing the depth and dignity of individuals in their nineties.
Through intimate portraits and candid glimpses into their daily lives, this series celebrates the resilience, wisdom, and memories that come with nearly a century of life. Each image tells a unique story of perseverance, change, and adaptation, capturing how these elders navigate and find a connection in today’s world.
This project honours their journeys and long life, inviting viewers to appreciate the legacy, humour, and character that shape their enduring presence in a fast-paced world.
Ballroom Dancers
Jovis has a passion for ballroom dance and wants to capture the vibrant essence and raw spirit of ballroom dancers, focusing deeply on their emotions and the artistry of their movements.
Through each frame, she aims to convey the intense passion, graceful strength, and fleeting yet powerful connections these dancers share, revealing the intricate beauty of their craft.
Her work is a tribute to the emotive and expressive world of ballroom, celebrating its timeless elegance and the profound dedication of those who bring it to life.
